We were experiencing this on one laptop model only. Our desktop team re-built the image deployed and the problem re-occurred. They then re-built the image again very carefully, testing after each component install / system change but the issue did ***NOT*** re-occur. We now have a stable image without the problem.
Our gut-feeling is that it is some sort of driver issue, or a clash with another program but we could not identify the actual cause - maybe even something as subtle as which order certain programs are installed into Windows.
Not much help for anyone else experiencing the issue.
